norelem runs for a good cause
The 15th edition of the Ditzinger "Run for Life" took place on 28th April 2013.
This run for a good cause is a big annual event. The participants run in aid of the cystic fibrosis charity Mukoviszidose e.V. (cystic fibrosis is an inherited metabolic disease).
The point is not speed, but the number of kilometres covered. Courses of 2 km and 3.5 km are marked out in the municipal park of the German town of Ditzingen for the runners to follow.
The norelem Normelemente KG team took the opportunity to put their running skills to the test, and managed to raise a considerable amount for Mukoviszidose e.V. On the cold morning concerned, the starting pistol was fired at 10.30, and the nine-strong team was soon in its stride and oblivious to the murky weather. To the delight of spectators, each participant in this fun run managed to average no fewer than 19.35 km.
So the running team from Markgröningen were also able to make a good contribution to the final result. A total of 3,725 participants ran 50,000 km between them for this good cause.
We would like to thank everyone who supported and sponsored our team, and also the organisers and many voluntary helpers at this highly-successful event.
We're already looking forward to 2014…
